Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine – The 25^th-ranked Brandeis University women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at #36 Colby College today.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Judges picked up one doubles win, but a 6-2 win by senior Bhakti Parwani (Ahmedabad, India/Kumkum School) and junior Rebecca Suarez (New York, N.Y./International Virtual Learning Academy) at #1 wasn't enough, as the Mules won 6-1 at #3 and 6-4 in the decisive match at #2.
• In singles action, the Judges got off to a slow start when Suarez had to withdraw at #1 after dropping the first set, 6-3.
• Colby went up 3-0 with a straight-set win at #4. The hosts then won a pair of tiebreakers to secure the victory. Parwani dropped a close match at #2, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5), while junior Nancy Zhang (Shanghai, China Shanghai International Division) extended her opponent to a third set at #3 before bowing, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (8-6).
• The final two matches were decided in third set super tiebreakers. The Judges earned their only point of the day at #5, where first-year Charly Saltz (Natick, Mass./Learning Time Acad.) came from a set down, 4-6, 6-2, 10-8. Sophomore Mandy Reyes (Manila, Philippines/Laurel Springs School) could not hang on after winning her first set, 2-6, 6-2, 10-6.
