How it went down:
Doubles were all Brandeis. The tandem of Cecilia Denis (Ardmore, PA) and Budhbhatti won Match #1 by a score of 8-3. Mandy Reyes (Barcelona, Spain) and Jiayi Zhang (Shanghai, China) won Match #2 by a score of 8-4. Lastly, Rebecca Suarez (Huntington, N.Y.) and Bhakti Parwani (Ahmedabad, India) secured the win for Brandeis with a resounding 8-4 win to end the fixture.
Singles started off against Brandeis favor after losing Match #6 in singles. However, Chahana Budhbhatti (Ahmedabad, India) got Brandeis their first point in Match #3 with a stellar performance, winning by scores of 6-4 and 6-1.
Brandeis found themselves in a little bit of a hole after this, going down 3-1 in overall points after the first four singles matches. The comeback was secured in Match #5 by Lika Bolkvadze (Tbilisi, Georgia). Bolkvadze won the first set 6-1 and then won the second set by a thrilling score of 7-6 to secure the win for the Judges.
