WALTHAM, Mass. – The Brandeis University swimming and diving teams drop their annual Battle of Waltham meets against cross-town rivals Bentley today, with the men falling, 143-70 and the women dropping a 166-51 decision.

TEAM RECORDS

• Brandeis: Men, 1-4; Women, 0-5.
• Bentley: Men, 3-0; Women, 3-1.

FIVE EVENT WINNERS

• The Judges had five individual wins on the evening.
• Senior Benjamin Lee (Upton, Mass. / Nipmuc Regional) took the 200-yard freestyle in 1:47.02. He also placed second in the 500 free in 5:04.34.
• Classmate Sam Bundy (Charlotte, NC / Ardrey Kell) took the 400-yard individual medley in 4:24.98 and was third in the 200 butterfly in 2:08.62.
• First-year Santiago Salazar (Houston, Texas/James E. Taylor) took the 200 breaststroke in 2:20.94 with a runner-up performance in the 1000-yard freestyle in 11:59.21.
• On the women's side, senior Jenna Wild (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) excelled in the middle-distance freestyle events, winning the 100 in 57.63 seconds and placing second in the 200 in 2:08.84.
• First-year Ivana Marinkovic (Malden, Mass./Malden) impressed on the diving board, earning her first collegiate win with a score of 174.83, winning by less than four-tenths of a point.

RUNNER-UP FINISHES

• An additional four Judges earned second place finishes
  • Sophomore Peter Mou (Chestnut Hill, MA / Brimmer and May School)
    in the 100 Freestyle in 49.18
  • Sophomore Jason Yan (Saugus, Mass./Mystic Valley Regional Charter School) was second in the 200 backstroke in 2:04.78.
  • First-year Sasha Tzizer (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) was second in the 1,000 free in 1:06.84.
  • Senior Rebecca Kaplan (Fairfax, Va. / Robinson Secondary School) was second in the 400 IM in 5:01.53.
