Haley Nash of
Delmar, New York, and sophomore
Bells Burdenski of
San Diego, California, have been named to the University Athletic Association All-UAA Second Team.
Nash earns her third career All-Association honor, having landed on the second team in 2022 and on the team in 2021 when there were no first- and second-team distinctions. This season, Nash led the Judges in batting average (.361), slugging percentage (.750), on base percentage (.467), home runs (11) and runs scored. She was second on the squad in hits (39) and RBI (32). Nash tied for the UAA lead in home runs and ranks second in slugging and OPS (on base plus slugging). As of the end of the regular season, Nash ranked 13
th in all of Division III in total home runs, 14
th in home runs per game and 57
th in slugging percentage.
Nash's 11 home runs were tied for third on the Judges' single-season list. She became just the second player in school history with 30 career homers in her final game of the season and sits just one shy of the school record. She also ended her season with 99 career RBI, tied for eighth on the career list. Nash will be returning for a graduate season in 2025.
Burdenski is on the All-UAA team for the first time. She led the Judges with 36 RBI, ranking her sixth in the UAA, while her nine home runs were second on the team and third in the league. She also had a team-high 44 hits and tied for the team lead with eight doubles and two triples. Burdenski trailed only Nash on the squad with a .358 batting average, .675 slugging percentage, .445 on-base percentage, 9 home runs, and 24 runs scored. She ranked 38
th in Division III in home runs and 44
th in home runs per game. She was 104
th in total RBI and 111
th in RBI per game.
Through two seasons of her career, Burdenski has started all 75 games for the Judges with a .316 career batting average, 13 home runs and 51 RBI.
The Brandeis softball team finished the 2024 season with an 18-19 record, going 9-11 to finish in fourth place in the UAA. The Judges will return all but one starters for the 2025 campaign.
Nash is a 2020 graduate of Bethlehem Central High School.
Burdenski is a 2022 graduate of Rancho Bernardo High School.
