MEDFORD, MA – The Judges returned to Tufts University today for the third time for the Last Change National Qualifying Meet. They earned 6 PRs across both sides, including one school record, one event victory and one NCAA qualifying performance.
TOP PERFORMANCES

For the women, senior Alya Campbell (Eastchester, N.Y./Eastchester) placed 6th in the 60-meter hurdles prelims with a time of 9.41 seconds, qualifying her for the finals. She then placed 5th in finals with a time of 9.21 seconds, giving her a PR, and tying the school record. Her time matched the previous school record set by former teammate Sonali Anderson '22 in 2022.

Sophomore Shaniece Nugent (Hartford, Conn./Lawrence Academy) won the triple jump with a distance of 10.99 meters.

On the men's side, sophomore TJ Carleo (Newburyport, Mass. / Newburyport) ran 15:2.48 in the 800-meter run, good for second place. With the conversion for the track size, the time puts Carleo at 11th place in overall in Division III this season and secures his second career NCAA Championships in the 800, and first during the indoors season. Sophomore Garret Rieden (Littleton, Mass. / Littleton) scored his third 800 PR in a row with a time of 1:53.95, good for 5th place.
OTHER WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Junior Kirsten Man (Kendall Park, N.J. / South Brunswick) placed 6th in the long jump with a PR of 5.01 meters, then went on to capture another PR in the high jump at a height of 1.64 meters for 4th place.

Sophomore Emma Liu (Taipei, Taiwan / Phillips Exeter Academy) placed 6th and earned a PR in the 20-pound weight throw with a toss of 13.87 meters.

Senior Smiley Huynh (Bronx, N.Y. Bronx/c H.S. of Science) pole vaulted 3.38 meters for 6th place and sophomore Alisha Anderson (Denver, Colo. / Ralston Valley) went 3.23 meters for 9th place.

In the 400, junior Hannah Bohbot-Dridi (Mountain View, Calif./Los Altos) placed 5th with 59.81 and senior Olivia Zarzycki (Belmont, Mass./Belmont) placed 6th with 1:02.52.
