WALTHAM, Mass. -- Senior midfielder Steve Keuchkarian (Watertown, Mass./Watertown) scored the game's only goal in the 12th minute and the Brandeis defense held on for its third-straight shutout as the Judges defeated Clark University, 1-0, in their home opener on Gordon Field.

Keuchkarian's first goal of the season and the second of his career came at the 11:09 mark of the contest. He first a ball from just inside the box into the net after a Cougar turnover. The Brandeis defense did the rest, holding Clark to just three shots, only one of which was on net.

Clark had a strong closing flurry, getting two shots off in the final two minutes, but senior Taylor Bracken (No. Andover, Mass../No. Andover) came up with a stop with 1:37 left in the contest to preserve his second solo shutout of the season.
