Six named to UAA Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete team

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Six Brandeis University student-athletes have been named to the 2025-26 University Athletic Association Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete team.

To achieve this recognition, a student-athlete is required to earn first team All-Association honors and must carry a 3.70 or greater cumulative grade point average through the playing season of their sport. Student-athletes must have completed one full year at that institution to qualify. The UAA Presidents Council created this special recognition in 2009.

The original recommendation to establish this honor came from the UAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was supported by the Athletic Administrators and Delegates Committees. As a group, UAA student-athletes and teams have consistently demonstrated high levels of both academic and athletic achievement. The UAA Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete Team recognition demonstrates the success of these principles at the level of the individual student-athlete.

- Second-team USFCA All-Division All-American and Division III Men's Saber Fencer of the Year, Business and Near Easter and Judaic Studies double major, 3.77 GPA
Brooke Boehmer '27, softball, Pittsburgh, Pa.
- First-team All-UAA at first base, Biology and Neuroscience double major, 3.71 GPA
Ben Kuja '28, baseball, Madison, Conn.
- First-team All-UAA at third base, Business and Psychology double major, 3.93 GPA
Mandy Reyes '27, women's tennis, Manila, The Philippines
- First-team All-UAA and All-American at first doubles, Computer Science major, 3.72 GPA
Elias Rodl '26, men's basketball, Berlin, Germany
- First-team All-UAA forward and CSC Academic All-American, Business major, 3.87 GPA,
