WESTON, Mass. – The Brandeis University volleyball earned its second sweep of the season and first on the road tonight as the Judges defeated Regis (Mass.), 25-16, 25-16, 25-19.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Judges cruised to victory in the first set, racing out to leads of 4-1 and 8-2 and never looking back.
- Junior Madison Haft-Abromovitch (Stratford, Conn./Rye Country Day School) had six kills and a service ace to account for seven of the team's 25 points.
- Brandeis took another 4-1 lead in the second set, but Regis recovered to take their first lead of the match, going on a 5-2 run to go ahead, 10-8.
- The Pride were still ahead 12-10 when the Judges took over with a 6-0 run on the serve of junior Alexa Ho (Queens, N.Y./Frances Lewis), who delivered two service aces to cap the string, putting the visitors ahead, 16-12.
- The Judges maintained their lead, clinching the set on another service ace by senior Olivia Nirode (Keller, Texas/Keller).
- Regis tried to climb back into the match in the third set, which featured 10 ties and five lead changes in the early going.
- The set was tied at 11-all when Brandeis made its decisive move, scoring four in a row on the serve of sophomore Evelyn Burke (Lake George, N.Y./Lake George), who had two service aces.
- The Judges' 15-11 lead held up the rest of the way, with Regis getting no closer than two points as Brandeis closed it out, 25-19.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Haft-Abromovitch paced the attack with 16 kills, her eighth match with double figures this season, second in a row. She had just five errors in 35 attempts for a .314 hitting percentage, her third highest of the campaign.
- First-year Kennedy Hilson (Decatur, Ga./Decatur) added 10 kills, and had just one error in 20 attempts for her best hitting percentage of the year, .450. It was her fourth career double-digit-kill match. Hillson was also involved in both Brandeis blocks, one solo and one assisted.
- Ho had 23 assists and was one of three Judges with three service aces on the night, as the Judges had 12 total aces and just nine service errors.
- Junior Taylor Lewis (Haverhill, Mass./Haverhill) paced the defense with 12 digs. Haft-Abromovitch just missed a double-double with nine.

- The Judges head to Rochester, New York, this weekend for the first of three University Athletic Association round robins. They will meet NYU, #8 Washington University and #15 Emory.
