WALTHAM, Mass. – The Brandeis University women's soccer team welcomed the visiting University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders from Belton, Texas, to Gordon Field today, and the two sides battled in an even contest to a scoreless draw.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game was about as even as could be, with Brandeis owning a slim 52-48 edge in possession, mostly in the midfield.
- Shots were 10-10, with five coming in each half for both squads.
- UMHB's best shot came in the first half when Brandeis senior goalkeeper Amaya Logan (Jacksonville, Fla./Creekside) denied Leila Cunningham in the 30th minute after a free kick deep in the defensive zone.
- The Judges' golden opportunity came in the 55th minute, when consecutive shots hit the crossbar. The first, off the foot of sophomore Grace Carman (Chicago, Ill. / Lane Tech) was deflected by Crusader goalie Aubrey Tipton, while sophomore Moira Koleno (Chicago, Ill. / Whitney M. Young Magnet) followed directly off the woodwork.
- Logan made three saves in the final 23 minutes, while Tipton stopped Reilly Hickey (Medford, Mass. / Mystic Valley Regional Charter School) in the 73rd and Kira Pevow (Houston, Texas / Emery-Weiner Schools) in the 84th to preserve the shutout.
- Logan's shutout was her third of the season and seventh of her career. She had five saves in the effort.
- UMHB's Elise Bienvenu had two saves in the first half and Tipton had three in the second.
