Men extend unbeaten streak to nine, dating back to last season, with 2-1 win at Wesleyan

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Brandeis University men's soccer team came from behind for the third-straight game tonight, defeating host Wesleyan University, 2-1, as the Judges extended their unbeaten streak to six matches this season and nine in a row dating back to last year.

TEAM RECORDS
  • Brandeis, 5-0-1.
  • Wesleyan, 2-2-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • For the third game in a row, the Judges surrendered the first goal of the game, as Wesleyan broke the ice in the 12th minute on a goal by Joshwin Jennings on assists from Ford Cash and Aiden Londergan.
  • Brandeis found an equalizer in the 35th minute, when senior Nico Beninda (Monroe Township, N.J./Monroe Township) spotted sophomore Yoav Feingold (Wellesley, Mass./Northfield Mt. Hermon) at the top of the 18-yard box. Feingold buried the goal inside the far right post for his first goal of the season and the second of his career.
  • The Cardinals held a 6-5 edge in shots in the first half, but Brandeis turned the tables in the second with a 6-2 advantage.
  • The game-winning goal came in the 59th minute off a failed Wesleyan clearing attempt. Junior transfer Keller Chamovitz (Sewickly, Pa./Quaker Valley) dribbled to the center of the park and unleashed a shot from 25 yards into the upper left corner.
  • It was his first goal in Brandeis uniform and the ninth of his collegiate career, with the first eight coming at Lycoming College.
  • The Brandeis defense clamped down after that, allowing just one blocked shot by the Cardinals the rest of the way.
  • Brandeis senior Tyler Correnti (West Newbury, Mass./Pentucket Regional) made one save for the win, coming early in the second half when the game was still tied. Wesleyan's Mathis Blanc did not have any saves in the losing effort.
  • In their six games this season, Brandeis's 11 goals have come from nine different players.
  • The Judges' 5-0-1 start is their best since winning their first 11 games of 2014
  • The nine-game unbeaten streak that includes wins in the last three games of 2025 is the longest since a 10-0-1 run in 2015.
