BABSON PARK, Mass. - The Brandeis University men's soccer team came from behind with two goals in the second half, leading to a 2-1 win against #12-ranked Babson on the road at Hartwell-Rogers Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Babson broke through first in the 30th minute when Will Lloyd fired a long shot into the top left corner of the net for his first goal of the season to put the Beavers ahead, 1–0.
• Brandeis put up the tying goal midway through the second half, as senior Nico Beninda (Monroe Township, N.J./Monroe Township) notched his team-leading third goal of the season in the 63rd minute, assisted by teammate Aidan Chuang (New York, N.Y./Milton Acad.).
• Just over ten minutes later, the Judges struck again. Junior Juan Vera (Caracas, Venezuela/Cypress Bay (Fla.) tallied his first goal of the season in the 76th minute off a feed from senior Elan Romo (Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay) to give Brandeis a 2–1 lead they proceeded to hold on to for the rest of the game.
• Vera became the 10th different Brandeis player to score a goal this season. 
• Both Brandeis goals came from similar positions on the field, striking almost the exact same spot in the bottom left corner of the net.
• Senior goalie Tyler Correnti (West Newbury, Mass./Pentucket Regional) finished with three saves for the Judges, while Babson's Max Kaplan recorded one.
• Two of Correnti's three saves came early in the second half on excellent chances for the Beavers to take a 2-0 lead, including denying a 1-v-1 opportunity in the 55th minute and defending a point-blank opportunity on a corner kick in the 59th.
• In their last four games, the Judges are 3-0-1, despite giving up the first goal of the game.  
• Since their first meeting on October 17, 1955, Brandeis holds a nearly even all-time record vs Babson, with 29 wins, 32 losses, and 11 ties in a total of 72 games - as Brandeis's most played rivalry in men's soccer
• This was Brandeis's first road win in the series since 2014, and the last four Brandeis wins in the series have all been 2-1 scores.
• Brandeis now has a seven-game overall unbeaten streak to start the season (the best streak since 2014) and a 10-game unbeaten streak dating back to last season (the longest streak since 2015).
• Babson had not lost at home in 23 games and had not lost when scoring first in their previous 24 contests.
