WALTHAM, Mass. -- The Brandeis University men's tennis team has named
Alan Dubrovsky as its next men's tennis head coach, Director of Athletics
Jessica Chapin '10 and Director of Tennis
Pauri Pandian announced today.
"We are excited to add Alan to the Brandeis Athletics staff," Chapin said. "He has made outstanding contributions to the success of some of the top programs in the region, and I am confident that he will be able to bring his winning formula to Waltham."Â
Dubrovsky comes to Brandeis from Babson College, where he served as the team's associate head tennis coach since August of 2022, working with both the men's and women's teams. While at Babson, he helped the Beavers reach top-15 national rankings in both the men's and women's Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III polls. He coached players to 12 All-American accolades, six in singles and six in doubles, including Olivia Soffer and Matia Cristiani, the two-time Division III women's doubles champions. On the men's side, Dubrovsky helped Babson reach the NCAA tournament quarterfinals in 2025, earning ITA Division III National Assistant Coach of the Year honors in the process.
"I'm thrilled to have Alan join the Brandeis tennis family, and see him lead the men's team in this next chapter of the program," Pandian said. "His history of playing and coaching excellence are going to be great assets to both the team and the department, and I can't wait for him to lead the program to new heights."
Prior to his time at Babson, Dubrovsky spent a year as an assistant women's coach at Amherst College, helping the Mammoths to a #7 national ranking at the end of the season. Two of his players were selected for the NCAA Division III Individual tournament as well.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Dubrovsky has also served as a club professional at Westborough Tennis and Swim Club and at the New England Tennis Academy in Wellesley, Mass.
Dubrovsky is a 2020 graduate of Hobart College, where he was the Athlete of the Year as a senior for the Statesmen. He was an All-American in singles and doubles, ranking as high as #5 nationally in singles and #8 in doubles.
Dubrobsky earned his B.S. in Geoscience from Hobart in 2020 and his Master of Business Administration from Babson in 2025.Â
