TEAM RECORDS
- Brandeis, 2-0.
- Babson, 0-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Judges were on the front foot for much of the evening, outshooting Babson, 21-7, including 11-3 in shots on goal. Brandeis also had an 8-5 advantage in corner kicks.
- Brandeis got all the scoring they would need in the 30th minute when first-year forward Laurene Creteau (Madison, N.J./Madison) cut back a pass on the left side of the field to Raju, who poked the ball into the right netting of the Babson goal. It was her third of the season.
- The Judges scored three goals in a nine-minute span in the second half.
- In the 63rd minute, senior Rachel Watler (Stevenson Ranch, Calif./West Ranch) sent a corner from the right side of the box, and junior Sam Kipperman (Middlebury, Conn./Pomperaug) redirected it home for her first of the season.
- Kipperman added a helper of her own in the 69th minute when she executed a give-and-go with Raju after a defensive turnover. Raju blasted the ball into the upper-left of the goal for her fourth tally of the campaign.
- Another Watler corner kick in the 72nd minute completed the scoring, as her service was punched out by the Babson goalie onto the foot of first-year midfielder Katie Collins (Littleton, Mass./Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School), who blasted it through the crowd for her first collegiate goal.
- Brandeis graduate transfer Rachel Ross (Portchester, N.Y./Somers) made three first-half saves to pick up her second shutout of the season.
- Nora Ryan had three saves in the first half for Babson, allowing one goal, while Callahan Cottone let in three goals and had two stops in the second stanza.
- Beaver reserve Josie Lee was the only visitor with more than one shot, finishing with two.
- This was the 49th all-time meeting between Brandeis and Babson in women's soccer, the most in program history. The Judges took a 26-19-4 series lead with the win, their ninth in the last 11 matches.
