th minute to take a 1-0 University Athletic Association decision on Gordon Field today.

- Brandeis: 6-4-3, 0-3 UAA.
- Chicago: 9-2-3, 1-1-1 UAA.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Maroons were on the front foot for much of the first half, outshooting Brandeis, 5-0, but Brandeis junior Hannah Bassan (Aventura, Fla./NSU University School) made a pair of nice saves late in the 44th and 45th minutes to keep the game scoreless.
- The Judges evened things out in the second half, with a few early shots. First-year Abby Kenkelen (Philadelphia, Pa./Springside Chestnut Hill) had the team's first shot on goal in the 54th minute, but UC's Sophie Pilarski made the save.
- The teams went back and forth before the Maroons broke the ice in the 86th minute. The visitors' Mary Stuart Kerrigan popped a ball into the air, and Hannah Rittenhouse challenged Bassan for the ball at the top of the 18-yard box.
- Rittenhouse was able to shoot the ball forward with just enough force to get it to trickle over the line before Bassan could get back to it. The goal was her 10th of the season, tied for third in the UAA.
