NEW LONDON, CT. – The Brandeis University cross country teams claimed 16th for the women and 20th for men out of 26 teams this morning in New London, Connecticut, at the Conn. College Invitational. The men's sub varsity also placed 13th for out of 19 teams. The women saw several 6K PRs and the men had many improvements from last year's meet.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Junior Zada Forde (Amherst, Mass / Amherst) continued her leading streak, finishing first for Brandeis, 78th overall and earning herself an outdoor 6K PR with a time of 23:12.90.
• Senior Captain Lizzy Reynolds (Winchester, Mass./ Winchester) followed next in 104th place, 23:35.20.
• Sophomore Ella Warkentine (Malvern, Pa. / Conestoga) ran 23:56.50 for 129th, followed by Sophomore Kyra Au (Great Neck, N.Y. / Great Neck South) with a time of 23:56.80, 56 seconds faster than last year, and giving her a huge 6K PR.
• Senior Juliette Intrieri (North Salem, N.Y. / North Salem) finished up the top five with a time of 24:06.90 in 139th place, giving the Judges' a spread of 54 seconds among their scorers.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Junior Lucas Dia (Montclair, N.J. / Montclair) led the pack in 100th place with a time of 26:16.50, 6 seconds faster than last year.
• Sophomore Robert King (Clarksville, Md. /River Hill) followed behind in 118th place, finishing for a time of 26:34.20, 37 seconds faster than last year.
• Sophomore TJ Carleo (Newburyport, Mass. / Newburyport) finished seven places behind for a time of 26:40.10, 3 seconds faster than last year.
• Junior Henry Nguyen (Worcester, Mass. / Worcester Vocational Tech) was 133rd in 26:45.2, and
Senior Captain Willem Goff (Pelham, Mass. / Amherst Regional) wrapped up with 143rd place and a time of 26:57.40.
• The Judges had a tight top five spread of 41 seconds, far better than last year's over four minutes spread
