HOW IT HAPPENED
- Junior co-captain Hugh Licklider (Newton, Mass./BC High) paced the men with a 48th place finish, leading the Judges for the fifth week straight. He posted a time of 26:06.3, earning a 1-second PR. He also improved 63 places from his most recent 2023 showing at Regionals, running a minute and 49 seconds faster.
- Sophomore Parker Cook (Old Saybrook, Conn./Old Saybrook) conquered a 56-second lifetime best, running 26:24 for 59th place. He improved 36 places from his freshman time of 27:33
- First-year Ben Weiner (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) marked his first NCAA Regionals race with his time of 26:57, earning 76th place. He remained in the team's top three for all five 6k races of his first collegiate season.
- Senior Dylan Zhao (Staten Island, N.Y./Brooklyn Tech) came in 4th for Brandeis, placing 81st and running a time of 27:06. He cut 29 seconds off his time from last year's Regional meet, improving by 16 places.
- Sophomore Ben Katsev (N. Andover, Mass./N. Andover) rounded off the top 5, finishing just two seconds behind his teammate. He ran 27:08, putting him in 82nd place. He shaved an entire minute and 29 seconds from his first Regionals, earning 45 places higher than last year
- Brandeis' 3rd through 5th man had a spread of only 11 seconds.
