Getting to know Amaris

My favorite part about competing for Brandeis, other than my teammates, is:Dedicating my time to working out, and getting better mentally and physically at my sport. 

Outside of my sport, my favorite thing to do at Brandeis is: Participate in diversity awareness activities. I'm the co-president of the Women of Color Alliance and a Brandeis Bridges Fellow, so I dedicate a lot of my time to planning meetings that focus on dialogue concerning cultural and social awareness. 

My favorite movie of all time is:Finding Nemo because I never get tired of it, and it makes me happy on a rainy day. "I shall call him squishy and he shall be mine"

My favorite pro or college sports athlete is: Kerri Walsh Jennigs! She won the 2012 London the Oympics while she was pregnant! She and Misty May Treanor make an amazing team.
