BRISTOL, R.I. – The Brandeis University volleyball team traveled to Rhode Island and the Judges came away with a four-set win over host Roger Willians University tonight. Set scores were 25-18, 16-25, 25-11, 25-20.

• Brandeis, 4-4.
• Roger Williams, 3-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Judges got off to a fast start, outhitting RWU, .318 to .143, in the opening set. Brandeis had 10 kills and just 3 errors for a .318 hitting percentage, earning the 25-18 win.
• Roger Williams bounced back in the second set, taking it, 25-16. The Hawks hit .333, compared with .158 for the Judges.
• Brandeis responded in the third, hitting .242 and holding RWU to -.100 as they cruised to the 25-11 win, their lowest scoring opponent's set of the season.
• The Judges still led practically wire-to-wire in the fourth set, the closest of the match, winning 25-20.
• Junior Madison Haft-Abromovitch (Stratford, Conn./Rye Country Day School) paced the attack with match-high honors with 17 kills. She also had a match-best three service aces.
• Junior Kennedy Lilly (Atlanta, Ga./Eagle Landing Christian Academy) added eight kills and sophomore Katya Belyakova (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Joseph Hill Acad.) contributed seven.
• Kennedy and Haft-Abromovitch each had three blocks, with Lilly posting the Judges' only solo block.
• Junior Alexa Ho (Staten Island, N.Y./Frances Lewis) had 27 assists and a pair of aces.
• Senior Ava Ferrigno (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton Community) notched 11 digs to lead the squad on defense with two aces.
