WALTHAM, Mass. -- Brandeis University men's basketball assistant coach David Feinstein has been promoted to associate head coach, head coach
Jean Bain announced today.
"David has been a terrific leader and mentor to our student athletes,' Bain said. "He continues to excel in all areas on and off the court. There is no doubt he will be a great head coach one day. David has earned this promotion with his hard work, dedication, and loyalty to our program."
Feinstein, who enters his fourth season with the Judges in 2025-26, has helped Brandeis to a 40-35 record as an assistant over the past three years. The Judges have posted back-to-back 14-11 campaigns in 2023-24 and 2024-25. Feinstein helped mentor Toby Harris '25, who was named a fourth-team All-American by D3hoops.com last winter, and
Aedan Using '24/M'26, who was selected as the University Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Year in 2023-24.Â
Last year, the Judges ranked among the top 20 teams in Division III in assists per game (11th, 17.8 apg); 3-pointers per game (12th, 10.8 3pg); assist-to-turnover ratio (13th, 1.52 a/to); 3-point percentage (13th, 38.0%); and field-goal percentage (18th, 48.0%).Â
