WALTHAM, Mass. – Brandeis University volleyball senior outside hitter
Anna Ertischek of
Montgomery, Texas, has been named a first-team All-University Athletic Association selection the conference announced on Tuesday. On Wednesday afternoon, she claimed First-Team All-Region 2 honors, making her eligible for All-America honors.
Ertischek, who was an All-UAA Honorable Mention last season, gives the Judges a first-team selection for the second year in a row. She is the fifth player in Brandeis history to earn first-team All-Association honors.
Ertischek led the Judges and finished third in the UAA in kills, averaging 3.74 kills per set, while her 434 total kills were most among any UAA player. She also led the UAA in total points (504.5) and points per set (4.35). In UAA-only matches this season, Ertischek was fourth in total kills (92) and kills per set (3.68) and third in total points (107) and points per set (4.28).
Ertischek started all 31 matches for the Judges this season. She reached double figures in kills in 24 of them, including six matches with 20 or more kills. She was also excellent on defense this season, recording eight matches with 10 or more digs, finishing fourth on the team with 176. Ertischek also led Brandeis with 42 service aces this year.
Ertischek ended her career sixth on the Judges' career list with 1,282, while her 1,442 points are eighth all-time. Her 434 kills are tied for 10th in a single season and her 504.5 points are just the 12th in school history to reach 500 for a campaign.

Alesia Bennett's 11th season, Ertischek and the Judges posted a 13-18 record, finishing seventh in the UAA.Â
Ertischek is a 2022 graduate of Lake Creek High School.
