How it went down:
Brandeis started off hot with three points in doubles wins. Jiayi Zhang (Shanghai, China) and Mandy Reyes (Barcelona, Spain) coasted in Match #3 by a score of 8-0. In Match #2, Ella Chase (Lincoln, Mass.) and Ella Subramanian (Parkland, Fla.) had another win by a score of 8-3. Sabrina Loui (Honolulu, Hawaii) and Sanjana Kumar (Phoenix, Ariz.) in Match #1 took home the third and final doubles point by a score of 8-2.
Singles went just as well. Right from the start, Brandeis kept control of their lead until the end. Match #5 was a thriller. Subramanian narrowly won the first set 7-6 and then won the second 6-2 to secure the match.
Brandeis won 8-1 to continue on with their West Coast showcase.
