WALTHAM, Mass. – Nothing was decided today as the #20 Brandeis University men's tennis team and cross-town rivals Bentley University were tied at 2-2 when the match was called off due to time constraints.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The match was played under Division I/II rules, win a single point awarded for doubles, six-point doubles sets and no-ad scoring.
• The Judges opened up by winning the doubles point, with senior Dylan Walters (Baltimore, Md./Gilman School) and sophomore Tommy Harrison (London, England/National Extension College) earning a 6-3 win over Gabe Horwitz and Nikola Pran at #1, while senior Aaron Basye (Mission Viejo, Calif./Tesoro) and sophomore Alex Merson (Palisades Park, N.J./Tenafly) outlasted Ansh Chadha and Liam Marr, 7-5 at #3 to clinch the point.
• The Judges took a 2-0 lead when Merson defeated Chadha for the second time, 6-2, 6-3, at #3 singles.
• The Falcons got on the board at #3 singles, where Horwitz topped Brandeis Harrison, 7-5, 6-3. They knotted it up with a lengthy match at #1, where Bonte knocked off Walters, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
• In the three suspended matches, Bentley was up a set at #4, while Brandeis players had earned breaks of serve in the first set of their matches at #5 and #6.
