Judges fall at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps

Claremont, Calif. - #20 Brandeis suffered a defeat by a score of 6-1 to start their West Coast trip.

How it went down:
Brandeis started off red hot in doubles matches, winning two of three to secure the doubles point, as the match was played under Division I rules where doubles matches result in one point total.
Aaron Basye (Mission Viejo, Calif.) and Alex Merson (Palisades Park, N.J.) started it off with a big win 6-4 in #3. Huasen Dong (Richmond Hill, Ont.) and Pierce Garbett (Coral Gables, Fla.) followed up with another massive win 7-6 in in #2 to secure the doubles point.
Singles matches were in favor of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, winning all six to secure the win. However, Match #6 was a thriller, with Garbett narrowly losing by a score of 7-6, 6-2. Overall, it was a highly competetive matchup between the two tennis powerhouses.
