WALTHAM, Mass. – Brandeis University women's basketball junior guard
Lulu Ohm (Waltham, Mass./Waltham) led all scorers with a career-high 18 points, but it wasn't enough for the Judges to overcome a slow second quarter today in a 71-64 loss to Case Western Reserve University in a University Athletic Association contest.

- Case Western Reserve: 9-13, 2-9 UAA.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter saw two ties and two lead changes, with the Judges taking a 16-14 lead after 10 minutes thanks to a late Ohm bucket.
- Brandeis sophomore forward Katherine Vaughan (Bedford, Mass./Bedford) led the Judges in the first quarter with six points, matched by CWRU's Kayla Characklis and Sarah Mitchell.
- The Spartans opened the second quarter with a 3-pointer by Kate Montgomery, and the visitors never trailed again.

- Ohm would open the third quarter with a 3-pointer to get Brandeis within eight, but that was as close as they would come until the late-going.
- The visitors led by as many as 15 points on a Montgomery jumper with 40 seconds to go in the third before Vaughan converted a three-point play with 16 seconds left in the half.
- Brandeis got within seven points late in the fourth quarter, but there wasn't enough time to complete the comeback.
