WALTHAM, Mass. – Sixty members of Brandeis University fall sports teams have earned a spot on the University Athletic Association (UAA) All-Academic Team for the fall of 2024. This is the second-highest fall total in program history, behind only the 62 members honored in 2021.

Within the UAA, All-Academic recognition is awarded to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study and who carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.300.

Brandeis was led by the men's and women's soccer teams, who each placed 16 team members on the squad. Volleyball and men's cross country had 10 student-athletes each, while women's cross country had eight.

Individuals and teams throughout the UAA have been consistently recognized for their academic and athletic achievements. During the 2023-24 academic year, 66 student-athletes from UAA institutions were recognized as Academic All-Americans, three of whom earned the prestigious NCAA Elite 90 award. Eight student-athletes were among those awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. A remarkable 259 Association student-athletes received All-America honors in team or individual sports. In addition, six UAA teams won NCAA Division III titles, and four more teams earned runner-up finishes in NCAA championships.

In the 37 years of the Association, 1,031 UAA student-athletes have garnered Academic All-America accolades and 4,653 have achieved All-America status. Seventy-two UAA teams have captured NCAA Division III championship titles with 584 posting top-10 finishes and 1,027 finishing among the top-20.
