TEAM RECORDS
- Brandeis: 10-3, 1-1 UAA
- Carnegie Mellon: 9-4, 1-1 UAA.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After the lead changed hands five times over the first six minutes of the game, Brandeis took the lead for good on a jumper by senior Sam Adusei (Worcester, Mass./St. George's School) that made it 12-11 in favor of the Judges.
- Over the next 9:16, Brandeis outscored Carnegie Mellon, 20-5, doubling up the Tartans at 32-16 on a 3-pointer by sophomore Ethan Edwards (Brooklyn, N.Y./Woodstock Acad.).
- The Tartans battled back, cutting the 16-point deficit down to eight at halftime after Justin Allen hit a pair of late free throws to make it 37-29 in favor of the Judges.
- Otoo hit the first bucket of the second half, and after CMU's Nolan Casey answered, Brandeis senior Aedan Using (Old Lyme, Conn./Old Lyme) hit a jumper that reestablished the 10-point lead, and the Judges' lead would not fall below double digits again.
- Brandeis led by as many as 20 points late in the second half before the final 17-point margin of victory.
