Women fall to Oberlin in Judges Invitational title game

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Brandeis University women's basketball team got 11 points from junior Caitlin Gresko (Howell, N.J./Howell) and rookie Carlie Marrella (Ashland, Mass./Ashland), but it wasn't enough to overcome a fine all-around performance from visiting Oberlin College , who won 77-46 in the title game of the 2023 Judges Invitational presented by the Park Lodge Hotel Group today.

TEAM RECORDS
  • Oberlin: 2-0.
  • Brandeis: 1-1.

  • Oberlin opened the second half with 13 unanswered points to take a 51-30 lead on a Montas 3-pointer, and the visitors never looked back. They were up 57-31 after three quarters and claimed their largest lead at 36 points with 5:05 left in the fourth quarter before the 31-point victory.
