In June of 2024, Julie Prichett was named the sixth head coach in Brandeis Women's Basketball history.
In her first season at the helm, Pritchett guided the Judges to their best season since 2019-20, more than doubling their win total from each of the previous two seasons. She coached Lulu Ohm, Brandeis's first first-team All-UAA selection eight years, while their three All-UAA selections were their most in a decade. Ohm was also the leading scorer and top free-throw shooter in the UAA, finishing with the second-highest single-season point total and scoring average in school history.
Prichett joined Brandeis after three seasons as an assistant coach at Babson College, where she helped the Beavers to a 61-27 record and two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances, including a berth in the Elite Eight in 2022-23.
Prichett had three head coaching stints prior to her time at Babson. She spent two seasons as head coach at Pine Manor College, earning American Collegiate Athletic Association Coach of the Year honors in 2020. Prichett was also the Director of Athletics at Pine Manor in 2020, overseeing the college's transition to the Coast To Coast Conference.
From 2013 to 2017, Prichett was head coach at Division II Saint Anselm College. While there, she recorded a 61-49 record and helped the Hawks reach the 2016 NCAA Division II Tournament, their first in 17 seasons.
Prichett's first head coaching job saw her spend eight years at Regis College from 2005 to 2013. She went 128-87 as head coach of the Pride, reaching three-straight ECAC Division III Tournaments from 2010 to 2012 before winning the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) in 2013 for Regis's first NCAA Tournament berth in 18 years.
In addition to her head coaching experience, Prichett has served as an assistant coach at UMass Lowell (2017-18), the University of Rhode Island (2002-03) and Elmira College (2000-02). She also worked as a basketball and video operations intern for the New York Liberty of the WBNA in 2002.
Prichett, who was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006, was a four-year standout at the University of Southern Maine from 1996-2000. She ranks fourth in program history in assists, fifth in scoring and seventh in steals and earned WBCA and D3hoops.com All-America honorable mention honors as a senior as the Huskies reached the Division III national championship game for the second time in three years.
