Brandeis Athletics celebrates record Giving Day

WALTHAM, MA - The Brandeis University Department of Athletics completed another successful annual Athletics Giving Day on March 31. With the support of alumni, parents, friends, and the entire Brandeis Athletics community, the department eclipsed its overall goal of $300,000 thanks to gifts from nearly 1,000 generous alumni and friends.

This was Brandeis Athletics' best giving day on record, improving nearly 15% from last year, and over 400% from the department's first Giving Day participation in 2019.

In total, the department raised $303,149 from 985 donors, including the following generous challenge sponsors: Dana Maiman '81, Rebecca Laszlo '84, Mark Marandino '91, Pia McCusker '92, Rikki Ades '93, Robin Seidman '00, Marissa '07 and Brandon Pick '08, Christine Fulton '07 and Jordan Skolnick '07, Stephen Hill '09, Caroline Miller '12, David Yovanoff '13, Brian Granoff '17, and Daniel Schupper '19.

"We are thrilled with our success on Athletics Giving Day, and extremely grateful to be joined by an incredible group of supporters from the Brandeis Athletics community," Director of Athletics Jessica Chapin '10 said. "The generosity we saw on Giving Day will create immediate, meaningful enhancements for our varsity programs. Thank you to everyone who chose to invest in our student-athletes and the future of Brandeis Athletics."
