WALTHAM, Mass. -- Eleven different Brandeis University athletic teams have been honored by their respective coaches associations for their efforts in the classroom during the 2024-25 academic year.
Leading the way was the women's tennis team, which boasted a 3.81 cumulative GPA to earn the Team All-Academic Award from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The men's team was also recognized with 3.64 team GPA. All 11 individual members of the women's team earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors with a 3.50 GPA or better over the previous academic year, while five of the seven men's team members were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
The women's soccer team earned Team All-Academic honors from the United Soccer Coaches with a 3.64 GPA, while the men posted a 3.50 mark.
Women's fencing were honored by the United States Fencing Coaches Association All-Academic Team with a 3.53 GPA, and the men received the award with 3.47 GPA. Additionally, 31 Judges earned All-Academic individual honors with a 3.30 GPA over the past year, with 21 taking home Scholar of Distinction honors for a yearly GPA of 3.70 or higher, including three perfect 4.0 GPAs.
Women's track and field took home honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association with their 3.52 grade-point average, and the men were just shy with a 3.49 GPA. Three men and four women were named USTFCCCA All-Academic athletes.
Women's volleyball took home the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association with a 3.44 mark.
The swimming and diving teams were honored for the spring semester by the College Swim Coaches Association of America with their Scholar All-America team honors, with a 3.66 combined GPA for the women and a 3.39 mark for the men.
