WATERFORD, CT – The Judges traveled to Harkness Memorial State Park for some ocean views at the Connecticut College Invitational today. The women placed 26th out of 37 teams with 732 points, just three points behind Westfield State, and ahead of Roger Williams. The men placed 20th out of 32 teams with 603 points. The Judges saw 10 total personal-bests - three for the women, and seven for the men.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Senior
Anna Batelli (Oak Ridge, N.J. / Jefferson Township) came in 113th place, earning at 6K PR of 23:10.3.
• Senior
Kayla DiBenedetto (Andover, Mass / Andover) also earned a 6K PR of nearly a minute and a half, running 23:20.5 for 132nd place.
• Senior
Kyra Au (Great Neck, N.Y. / Great Neck South) placed 167th, finishing in 23:59.5. Following her lead was sophomore
Sadie Harrow (Bangor, Maine / Bangor) ran 24:08.3 for 173rd place.
• Closing out the top five was sophomore
Katriona Briggs (Menlo Park, Calif. / Menlo Atherton), running 24:24.1 for 191st place.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Senior captain
Lucas Dia (Montclair, N.J. / Montclair) earned an 8K PR of 26:01.2 for 96th place.
• Grad student
Henry Nguyen (Worcester, Mass. / Worcester Vocational Tech) also earned an 8k PR of 26:06.7, finishing in 108th.
• Junior
TJ Carleo (Newburyport, Mass. / Newburyport) placed 130th, running 26:28.1.
• Senior
Dashiell Janicki (New York, N.Y. / HS for Math Science and Engineering at City College) ran 26:59.9 for 169th place. Junior
Dylan Zhao (Staten Island, N.Y./Brooklyn Tech) followed 5 seconds behind, running 27:04.8 for 176th place.
