WALTHAM, Mass. -- Sophomore Langston Byrd of Austin, Texas, and junior Alexa Ho of Staten Island, New York, members of the men’s soccer and volleyball teams, have been named Brandeis University Athletes of the Week for the week ending September 13. In a 2-1 win over MIT on Saturday afternoon, he assisted the game-winning goal in the 67th minute. He took over the team's lead with the two helpers.

The Brandeis men’s soccer team, with a 2-2-1 record, faced #1-ranked Wesleyan (Conn.) University on Tuesday evening. The Judges next face Skidmore College on the road on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.

Ho was named to the All-Tournament team at the MIT Invitational after setting the Judges to a 1-2 record. She had two double-doubles on the weekend, tallying 15 assists and 12 digs in a 3-1 loss to #7 MIT and 34 assists and 10 digs in a 3-2 loss to Scranton. In a 3-1 win over Maine Maritime, Ho had 23 assists and 9 digs, just missing a third double-double.
