After four season as an assistant coach, Sinead Delahunty Evans was named interim head coach of men's and women's cross country and track and field in December 2013, and in May of 2014, the interim tag was removed. Delahunty Evans spent two years as a full-time assistant working with the Judges' distance and middle-distance runners. Since joining the program, she has helped eight Brandeis runners qualify for the NCAA track and field championships in those events, including Grayce Selig '11 and Chris Brown '12, who each established school records in the 1,500-meter run and earned All-America honors.

Evans is a 1993 graduate of Providence College, where she was a six-time All-American. She established a PC record in the indoor 1,000 meters and helped set the indoor and outdoor 4 x 800 meter relay mark and the outdoor distance medley relay record. She was the Providence Female Athlete of the Year in 1993 and was inducted into the Friars' Hall of Fame in 2009. Evans went on to compete for Ireland in four World Championships and in the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Olympics in the 1,500.
