Coach Berg enters her 3rd year as an Assistant Coach for Brandeis University in 2015-16. Berg works with the Judges sprint, jumps and hurdles. During her first season at Brandeis she helped fourteen Brandeis student-athletes earn All-UAA honors including Mohamed Sidique who captured the Indoor and Outdoor triple jump title. Sidique capped off his season by qualifying for the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Championship where he captured All-American status by placing 5th with a leap of 48’ 1 ¾”.
Berg came to Brandeis after spending a year as an Assistant Coach at UMASS Lowell and two years serving as an Assistant Coach for Smith College (12’) where she simultaneously earned her Master’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Studies.
Berg completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Westfield State (09’) in Communications, Public and Corporate Relations. As an Owl she was a four-time NCAA Championship qualifier; three in the high jump, once in the pentathlon. In 2009, she became the NCAA National Champion in the high jump during her indoor season. Berg earned New England Division III honors nine times - including capturing the heptathlon in 2008 - 14 Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) titles, copped All-ECAC honors three-times and NEICAAA honors three times. She set school records in the high jump, pentathlon, 200m, 500m and was a member of the 4x200m, 4x400m and 4x800m record setting relay teams. She holds the MASCAC Conference outdoor record in the high jump. She was awarded Women of the Year by Westfield State and the MASCAC Conference in 2009.
Berg is USA Track & Field Level 1 and USTFCCCA Level II Certified.
