Mattos earns four wins at 2014 NCAA Championships
Junior foil Caroline Mattos posted victories over defending champion an finalist and Olympian Lee Kiefer of Notre Dame and long-time friend Kathryn Hawrot of Brown as part of her four victories at the NCAA championships at the Ohio State University.

The Judges will send three fencers to nationals for the second year in a row. Caroline Mattos and Adam Mandel make return trips, Noah Berman has his first berth. NCAAs are at Ohio State March 20-23.

Fencers claim second-straight New England title
The Brandeis men's and women's fencing team won their second New England Intercollegiate Fencing Championship, defeating Sacred Heart by five points. The Judges won three team weapon titles, one individual goal and two silvers.

Both Brandeis teams defeated MIT and BC, but fell to Top 10 Harvard squads. Senior Vikki Nunley contributed five wins to the foil squad.

The Brandeis fencers went 9-2 on the day and both the men and women sit in second place in the Northeast Fencing Conference standings. Rookie Ashley Jean had a 13-4 record for the women.

Two teams and six distinguished individuals will join the Joseph M. Linsey Brandeis Athletics Hall of Fame on October 12. This will be the 20th anniversary of the Hall and the 15th induction class.
