Juniors Zoe Messinger of the women's fencing team and Steven Milo from men's tennis earned University Athletic Association honors this week.

Junior Zoe Messinger earned consideration for an at-large berth at the NCAA championships by reaching the final pool and placing 11th at the regional held at Boston College.

Sophomore Kristen Ha won five bouts to lead the Brandeis team at the Beanpot tournament, but the Judges dropped matches to BC, MIT and No. 7 Harvard.

The Judges dropped three matches to nationally-ranked foes, but picked up a win in all three weapons against the Air Force Academy to earn their only win.

Epee fencer Kristen Ha, along with classmate Leah Mack, went 3-0 to pace Brandeis to their only win of the afternoon against Hunter College.

Women split at second Northeast Fencing Meet
The Brandeis women went 3-3 at the second Northeast Fencing Conference meet of 2012, finishing the season with a 7-5 record in the conference. Sophomore epeeist Leah Mack had the best day of any Brandeis fencer with 12 wins.

Women's fencing edges Wellesley, 14-13
In their only mid-week match of the season, the Brandeis women's fencing team defeated local rival Wellesley, 14-13. The Judges won epee, 8-1, and saber, 6-3, with junior saberist Zoe Messinger earning the clinching point.

Six standout athletes whose careers spanned the first half-century of Brandeis’ sports history will be inducted into the 14th class of the Joseph Linsey Brandeis Athletic Hall of Fame during ceremonies on March 31 in the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center on campus, Director of Athletics Sheryl Sousa ’90 and Friends of Brandeis Athletics (FOBA) President Jim Leahy '85 announced.
