Senior forward Tyler Savonen became the men's soccer program's third first-teamer, while junior back Conor Lanahan joined him, giving the Judges two NSCAA All-Americans in one season for the first time.

Forward Tyler Savonen and defender Conor Lanahan made the first team and will be eligible for All-America honors. Midfielder Josh Ocel was second team, forward Michael Soboff third team and midfielder Jake Picard fourth team.

After surrendering an early goal, the Judges suffered hard luck in the second half, twice hitting the post only to see Oneonta score on the counter-attack.

Into the Elite Eight: Judges prevail over Amherst on PKs, 6-5
After 110 minutes of scoreless soccer, the Brandeis men made their final six penalty kick, while Joe Graffy stopped the Lord Jeffs' fourth attempt to help secure the win. The #5 Judges take on #3 Oneonta State tomorrow at 1 p.m. for a berth in the Final Four.

Savonen named third-team CoSIDA Academic All-American
Senior Tyler Savonen added another award to his case today, earning Capital One Academic All-America third-team honors, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

The Judges got an own goal with 41 seconds left in regulation, then Robbie Lynch headed home the game-winner in the 96th minute. With the win, the Judges move to 16-1.

Jordan Zides '15: Miracle on the Sidelines
On July 25, 2011, Jordan Zides of the men's soccer team was in a car accident that left him in a coma for a month. Just over a year later, he was back at Brandeis as an undergraduate assistant.
