UPDATE, Dec. 18: Ocel earns three All-America awards
Sam Ocel is the sixth player in Brandeis history named an All-American and first since 1996. He was a third-team selection by the NSCAA and a first-team honoree by D3soccer.com. Ocel also earned second-team Scholar All-America honors from the NSCAA, along with classmate Joe Eisenbies.

Coven named NSCAA New England Division III Coach of the Year
After leading the men's soccer team to and 18-3-1 record and spot in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament, Mike Coven was named New England Coach of the Year.

The Judges' 18-3-1 season is the second-most wins in school history, as a 63rd-minute goal was the difference despite a 15-10 shooting advantage for Brandeis.

Ocel does it again! Men get past Vassar, 1-0, on goal with 29.4 seconds left
Sam Ocel's dramatic game-winner came with the clock winding down. It was his 13th goal of the season, nine of which have won the contest. The Judges will meet Williams in the Sweet 16 next Saturday at Amherst.

With Sam Ocel's 10th goal of the campaign coming in the 68th minute, the Brandeis men finish the regular season at 16-2-1, 4-2-1 in the UAA, earning a share of the 2012 conference title. They await Monday's NCAA tournament selection.
