Gourde won his heat against and finished second among Division III competitors in the event, 15th overall out 225 runners.

Gourde also turned in a time of 48.68 seconds in the 400-meter dash, which was second in his heat and 22nd overall. Both times are the fastest in the University Athletic Association this season and 18th- and 15th-fastest in Division III this season, respectively.

Gourde and the Judges will head to the New England Division III Championships this weekend at Tufts University before playing host the UAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on February 25 and 26.
